COOKIE POLICY
Last updated June 28, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how Rate Report Texas LLC ("Company," "we," "us," and "our") uses cookies when you visit our website at https://myratereport.com ("Website"). It explains what cookies are, which ones we use, and how you can control them.
In short: we use only a small number of strictly necessary cookies that keep you logged in and protect your account. We do not use cookies for advertising or third-party analytics, we do not allow third parties to serve advertising or tracking cookies through our Website, and we do not display a cookie consent banner because no non-essential cookies are set. We also use one cookieless, non-identifying analytics signal to understand how visitors move through the site, described under "Do you use any other tracking technologies?" below.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small data files that are placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or to work more efficiently. Cookies set by the website owner (in this case, Rate Report Texas LLC) are called "first-party cookies." Cookies set by parties other than the website owner are called "third-party cookies."
Why do we use cookies?
We use cookies only for reasons that are strictly necessary for our Website to operate and to keep your account secure, for example to keep you signed in and to protect sign-in forms against cross-site request forgery. We do not use cookies for marketing, advertising, behavioral targeting, or third-party analytics.
What cookies do we use?
The cookies we set are all first-party and strictly necessary:
| Name | Purpose | Duration | Category |
|---|---|---|---|
| __Secure-authjs.session-token | Keeps you signed in by storing your authenticated session. | Session / persistent (up to ~30 days) | Strictly necessary |
| __Host-authjs.csrf-token | Protects sign-in and account forms against cross-site request forgery. | Session | Strictly necessary |
| __Secure-authjs.callback-url | Remembers where to return you after you sign in. | Session | Strictly necessary |
Cookie names may carry the
__Secure- or __Host- prefix when served over HTTPS. Because these cookies are strictly necessary, they cannot be turned off through a consent tool; they are only set as part of operating the Website and signing you in.How can I control cookies?
Because we use only strictly necessary cookies, we do not display a cookie consent banner or preference center. You can still block or delete cookies through your web browser settings, but please note that parts of the Website (such as signing in to your account) may not function correctly if these cookies are blocked. The means of refusing cookies varies from browser to browser; the following pages explain how:
Do you use any other tracking technologies?
We use one privacy-preserving analytics method that does not rely on cookies. To understand how visitors move through key steps of the Website (for example, checking a rate, entering usage, or viewing an analysis) so that we can improve it, we store a random, non-identifying identifier in your browser's session storage (not a cookie) and send the name of the step you reached to our own servers. This identifier is discarded when you close the tab; it is not linked to your name, email, address, account, or IP address; and it is never shared with third parties or used for advertising. Apart from this, we do not use web beacons, tracking pixels, Flash cookies, third-party analytics, or targeted advertising. If our use of these technologies changes in the future, we will update this Cookie Policy and, where required by law, obtain your consent before any non-essential technologies are used.
How often will you update this Cookie Policy?
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The date at the top of this Cookie Policy indicates when it was last updated.
